    I’ve been detoxing from Facebook a few weeks and now and yesterday Instagram. Taking a break from social media has really opened my eyes to the feels and motivations I have to using my social media platforms. Most people won’t admit how much they are actually addicted to social media. For me, social media has been my life since 2010. After nine years of heavy social media use it was time for a break. I was feed up with losing control of my emotions. I was becoming resentful and envious of people. So, I just quit social media cold turkey and implemented other things I would spend time on since I’m not scrolling through social media.

    My ritual has changed immensely from waking up and checking Facebook to only check Twitter which I only use for my blog posts. I like your idea of turning off the notifications I think I would do that when I return. Thanks for the tip!
